Fellowships/Grants:
UGC research fellow from 1998-2002 on the thesis The Megalithic Culture of Peninsular India with Special Reference to Central Kerala: An Interdisciplinary Approach. It was a pioneering study of the settlement pattern of Iron Age in peninsular India with special reference to central Kerala covering the megalithic culture and early historical period with Indian Ocean exchange and is currently under publication.
She has received fellowships and grants from the Government of Kerala, the University Grants Commission and the United Board, New York.
Teaching: Jenee Peter has qualified NET in both Archaeology and History and has been teaching since 1998. She has varied teaching and research exposure beginning with the Centre for Cultural and Ecological Studies, U.C College. She has also taught at U.C College, Centre for Heritage Studies, and Eritrea Institute of Technology, East Africa.
Fieldwork: Jenee Peter was a member of Pattanam Excavation by CHS, Pattanam Archaeological Project of KCHR and Muziris Heritage Project. She has co-directed four archaeological explorations on megaliths of north Kerala, archaeology of lower Periyar Basin, archaeology of Upper Periyar Basin and was granted permission to excavate two megaliths at Vadattupra, Kothamangalam in Upper Periyar Basin. She was consultant to Muziris Heritage Project and participated in the excavations at Kottapuram fort.
Training: Jenee was trained in various workshops most recently on Ancient Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, in Medieval Indian History at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and in Inter-religious Dialogue and Peace building at the Mindanao Peace Building Institute, Philippines.
Publications: Jenee has authored/ co-authored two books, contributed chapters in seven books, published twenty articles and presented ninety research papers so far. Her two major works are Church Murals of Kerala (2009) and Stark World Guide on Kerala (2007). Her research interests cover varied topics mostly related to the Archaeology and History of Kerala. In 2015 October she received an Award from Indian Society of Authors, New Delhi. She has organized five seminars/ workshops and Coordinates the Archaeology Seminar Series.
Current Projects: Jenee has two on-going research projects.

Jenee Peter is on various boards of Mahatma Gandhi University, Centre for Heritage Studies and the University of Kerala. She is member of Society of South Asian Archaeologists (SOSAA), International Society for Prehistoric and Quaternary Studies (ISPQS) and Indian History Congress (IHC). Within the college, she is a member of PTA, IQAC and Service learning and Student Exchange Programme and the College Website Committee.
